To ensure best practice and reduce any risk of litigation
for ourselves and our clients, PAM adheres to recognised
professional, ethical and legal standards for the practice
of occupational medicine. These include the Guidance on
Ethics for Occupational Physicians (FOM, May 2006), the
GMC’s guidance on Good Medical Practice and Good
Medical Practice for Occupational Physicians (FOM, 2001).
Furthermore, our quality system has been accredited to meet the standards of SEQOHS, IIP, ISO 9001 and ISO 27001; these act as our quality foundation, which means clients can take confidence in the standards that we adopt.
Faculty of Occupational Medicine SEQOHS
SEQOHS (Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health Service) provides a set of standards and a process of voluntary accreditation that aims to raise the overall standard of care provided by occupational health providers.
SEQOHS aims to:
Enable OH providers to identify the standards of practice to which they should aspire
Credit the good work being done by high quality occupational health providers
Raise standards where they need to be raised
Help purchasers differentiate OH providers that attain the desired standards from those that do not
ISO 9001 Quality Management
ISO 9001 helps us to effectively manage our business and meet our client’s requirements. ISO 9001 is the International Standard for Quality Management Systems. It is the most widely used way of demonstrating to clients that we are committed to our service and have been assessed accordingly.
ISO 22301 Continuity Management
ISO 22301 is the International Standard for Business Continuity Management.
The accreditation helps PAM to effectively decrease the possibility of disruptive incidents, and on such incidents occurring, ensures we are ready to respond in an appropriate way. This drastically decreases the potential damage of such events and ensures our service delivery will not be significantly impacted.
ISO 27001 Information Security Management
PAM deals with large amounts of personal and medical information. Given our embrace of systems we therefore recognise the need to provide confidence to our clients that our systems are secure and support our operations.
ISO 27001 is the International Standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). It allows both us and our clients to take confidence in the information security measures that we employ. This includes the continued accessibility, confidentiality and integrity of our own information and that of our clients as well as legal compliance.

Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS)
Developed from the GB rail industry’s Link-up scheme, RISQS standards are essential to the rail sector. Accreditation demonstrates PAM’s commitment to meeting relevant standards relating to safety and quality in the sector. PAM undergoes annual audits carried out by Achilles, the organisation that developed RISQS, to ensure that these standards are maintained.
PAM Assist, our EAP business, has achieved registered membership status with The UK Employee Assistance Professionals Association, having met strict criteria relating to EAP standards, professional practice and delivery.
The UK EAPA was established in 1998 and follows EAPA global standards that are adapted local to the UK market; this makes the UK EAPA Standards of Professional Practice the only credible set of standards to which EAP providers operate.
The Association represents the UK EAP industry to government and other professional bodies.
COHPA has become a prominent figure within the Occupational Health sector. As a member, PAM demonstrates a commitment to advancing the industry and pledges to offer an efficient, customer led service.
Cyber Essentials is a Government-backed, industry-supported scheme to help organisations protect themselves against common online threats. PAM Group holds both certifications of Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials (PLUS).
