Soft Tissue Injury

A soft tissue injury defines an injury that occurs to any soft tissue structure in the body.  This is a very long list and includes skin, muscle, fascia (the structure that surrounds muscles), tendons, ligaments, cartilage, discs and nerves. Damage to these tissues can be as a result of impact or trauma or due to overuse, repetitive strain, degeneration or even infection.

The job of your PAM Wellbeing physiotherapist is to determine which structure is injured and the cause of the injury to provide direction on recovery timeframes and also guide you in how you can manage your injury to resolve the problem and how we can help you in your recovery.
