Psychological Stepped Care

PAM Wellbeing’s Psychological Stepped Care is based on the NHS IAPT model and is a NICE recommended protocol. It is designed to ensure that employees receive the most effective, least intrusive, cost efficient and appropriate treatment / therapy to enable them to return to normal health and work in the shortest possible time. The model is ‘solution focused’, which contributes positively to an employee’s overall Health and Wellbeing.

An initial assessment is conducted to determine the right pathway. Pathways then include:

  1. Remote Guided Self-Management, Skill Development & Coaching;

  2. Computerised Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), or telephone/virtual counselling;

  3. Telephonic and Virtual CBT, using structured video counselling or face to face counselling;

  4. Face to Face Counselling, CBT, or EMDR

Employees are case managed by an assigned therapist and can be stepped up or stepped down, depending on how they are responding to a particular therapy.

PAM Wellbeing’s CBT, counselling and psychological wellbeing team are all BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) accredited and adhere to the NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidelines.
